Kathy Taylor: My first Psychic Medium Experience

I first met Kathy Taylor in 2018, it was a year after my mom had crossed over.  Even though I had been raised to believe that our soul’s are eternal and I had been on my spiritual journey for a few years, her physical loss had crushed me.  I believed her spirit lived on but I just needed to know that the butterflies I had been seeing were really her and not just me wishing it was her. I heard about Kathy Taylor and booked an appointment. Back then it was just a two month wait to see Kathy (now its a bit longer cuz she’s that good).  

I waited with breathless anticipation for my appointment. I had never seen a medium before and I didn’t know what to expect. We weren’t FB friends, so I didn’t know anything about Kathy other than she had a gift of communicating with Spirit. The day arrived, I pulled up to her office nervous with anticipation. The stereotypical psychic medium flashed through my head…an old witchy looking lady with gnarled hands smelling of garlic.  Well, I was ready for whomever opened the door because I really wanted to hear from my mom. 

I knocked on her office door. To my surprise, a young woman with bright blue eyes and platinum blonde hair greeted me with a warm smile and introduced herself. Well, she certainly wasn’t the image I had created in my head. She was young and vibrant with a friendly familiar demeanor. Immediately I felt like she was someone I had known my whole life.  She was (and still is) warm, engaging with a quick smile and a laugh.  

She invited me to take a seat across from her, we sat down as if we were about to have some coffee and cake.  Little did I know I was in for a real treat…much better than coffee and cake.  She looked at me and said, “Oh your mom is here…and boy does she love you!”  She continued on, ‘There is someone else here too and your mom is going to let him go first.” I was curious, who could be more important than my mom?  

She went on to describe a man who had transitioned a few years ago.  She then started with these mystery clues: We were friendly but not friends. Our kids went to school together but they were not friends. We would see each other on the playground picking our kids up and say hi to each other.  He died of brain cancer.  Well, now I was confounded and a bit irritated.  I had an hour with Kathy and I was playing Heavenly Guess Who with someone I wasn’t really friends with!  I said, “I’m sorry but I have no idea who you are talking about.”  I was hoping with that, this mystery guest would move along and make way for the star of the show…my mom.  

Well, our heavenly guest was persistent.  She gave me a few more ways I may remember how we were connected but at this point I was pretty shut down to him.  Finally, Kathy said, okay let me see if I can get his name.  In a flash, she said his full name! She got his first and last name…just to avoid any confusion as to who had showed up.  Oh boy! Yes, I knew him! Yes, our kids went to school together.  Yes, he passed from brain cancer.  I was so happy to make the connection. Now I was really curious…what was he doing here and how did he know I was here? Does an announcement go out in Heaven….”All Hands on Deck…Mary Kate is going to see a medium.”

Kathy and I figured out that she had been at the place he worked just two days ago.  She said, I have been sensing his presence since that time.  He just wants you to tell his wife that he is okay, he’s in Heaven and he’s fine.  

Wait, that’s it???  No big message…no, “Hey, the money was hidden under the mattress.”  Just, I’m okay. I asked Kathy for more, and she shrugged and said, “he’s moving along.”  Her exact words were…”he’s very much a gentleman and wants to give your mom the floor.” 

My mom took the floor…and boy oh boy…that’s a mini blog for another day.  I will tell you that Kathy knew three distinct things related to my mother’s passing that only me and my mom would know.  She also confirmed, without me asking, that my mom was sending me butterflies. Yay!! Mission accomplished!  Not a cardinal, not a dime, not a dragonfly…a butterfly.  All of my trust issues about Heaven were dissolved in that moment.  I knew for certain my mom was very much alive and well…just with out her body.  Kathy gave me a gift that day that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.  The gift of knowing, truly knowing we are eternal. 

Kathy has given that gift to thousands of other people. So, now you can see why I am so excited to have her at my healing space next week. There is so much more attached to that story too…again…for a future day. Teaser Alert: Kathy told me a year ago that my business would be moving to place that looked like a doctor’s office.  Guess, what?? The Fanwood space used to be a pediatric doctor’s office!!

Either way, I had done my job. Well, within five minutes my phone was ringing. Turns out she was curious too.  I relayed the information and apologized that I didn’t have more to give her.  She said, “No, this is just what I needed. Recently, I have been wondering if heaven was real and if my husband was really there. This is just what I needed to hear.”

Wow! Mission accomplished yet again…and she didn’t even have to pay for a reading! Lol!
